We are committed to build a future where people live in harmony with nature.
For more than 25 years, WWF-Caucasus has implemented more than 70 projects in the Caucasus aimed at protecting, preserving and restoring the region’s biodiversity, while simultaneously ensuring inter-governmental coordination and engaging local populations in nature conservation.
As part of the WWF global network, WWF-Caucasus is dedicated to sustaining the natural environment and creating a world where people and nature thrive.
Together with local communities and our partners, we are focused on halting biodiversity loss, safeguarding ecosystem services and promoting living landscapes to deliver environmental, social and economic improvements to the region.
We believe in strong strategic partnerships and in this endeavor, we have been working closely with a diverse group of institutions, including but not limited to: Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ); Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU); KfW Development Bank; World Bank; Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and European Commission.
